This painting was also created during my time at the university this year. We had to follow a tutorial step-by-step in order to learn the techniques that created the original painting. I chose to paint a night scene with the instructions from the book Advanced Painter Techniques by Don Seegmiller (chapter 5). The original piece had a sleepwalker in it, but since it was almost christmas I thought I'll change it a little... Painted in Corel Painter.

Here is the finished painting of the girl with the dragons. This was a school project where we were supposed to make a front page to a children's book. Mine is named Saga och drakarna/Saga and the dragons.
Children have such wonderful imagination and often they make up imaginary friends or worlds. Saga has her three dragons. They are her best friends but sometimes they get her in trouble because no adults can see them, not even Saga's mother...

It's kind of a speed painting since we were not allowed much time. Inspired by Sven Nordqvist's illustrations. Painted in photoshop with some final details in Corel Painter.
