The season is over and I'm back in Sweden again ready for some summer!
So how did it go with my challenge, to draw or paint something everyday?
I will be honest, I did not manage to create something everyday...but I ended up working a lot more with my art than I've done in a long time and also manage to get some university work samples and a commission done. Almost everyday until the end of the season I worked with pictures in one way or another.
So how did it feel? Some days it felt like a burden, like having to remember to pay a bill, or take out the garbage... But most days it was easy, because the more I did the more I wanted to do. Instead of having trouble coming up with something to draw I suddenly had a lot of possible pictures in my head.
Overall it was a good idea and a good way of making myself get more creative and get things done!
Here is a painting, made during my challenge, of Skogsrået, a creature or being found in Swedish folklore. She is a guardian of the forest and wild animals, helpful but also very dangerous and unpredictable. She is described to be very beautiful, but her back is hollow like a tree trunk and some tales says she has a fox tail.
Painted with watercolors on paper, 21x29,7 cm.
